We all have to understand some parts of the U.S. government will use whatever tools they want to do whatever they want. Nothing is beyond their reach unless it is protected by powerful entities like Russian Oligarchs or the Chinese People's Party.

Do you remember Oliver North's testimony, that much they made public, much more was never exposed. I suspect that Spy Fiction pales in comparison to the real thing.

They will use whatever currency works, Bitcoin, Dollars, Guns, Drugs, even kidnaping (people trafficking). Extraordinary Rendition, waterboarding, targeted killing, drone attacks, domestic and international eavesdropping (even on the heads of state of our allies).
