Wealth is not needed, it is consequence of human vice. Greed, gluttony and pride. Wealth is mostly an external representation of the true desire. Power and influence. Money is power, leverage. Displays of wealth are advertising power. The elimination of scarcity will not eliminate human vice and human desire for power over others. We live in a world where a large percentage of the population are sociopaths and psychopaths.
