What do you know about the space industry? When do you think we might start mining Psyche? How much do you think the cost of setting up the first mine on Psyche would cost? What would you use for a cost estimate for a pound of down mass from space to earth? The asteroid mining business case does not close yet so it is unlikely to change the price or supply of gold for decades and the impacts of climate change might end space travel anyway.

It takes a lot of talented people and a lot of infrastructure to run a space program, even a moderate social collapse would severely curtail space exploration.
