What is wrong with these people?

Seriously, how can anyone believe that sexually assaulting a prisoner is ok. How do they justify it. Even consensual sexual contact between a prisoner that their captors/guards/prison employees is criminal.

How badly damaged must a person be to want to take out their grievances on someone not even charged with a crime. Prisoners of war are not criminals but even criminals are supposed to be legally protected from abuse, even lesser abuse than sexual abuse. How deranged must someone be to think that it is ok to rape a prisoner.

Talk about cruel and unusual punishment and we are talking punishing someone not proven guilty or sometimes not even charged with a crime.

It is the news again because of recent event but the behaviors are not new. It happens all over the place. Why is the outcry not much louder.

I guess we are happy to let sadistic pathologically evil persons run our prisons and detention centers.

I guess we are not advanced enough to understand certain pathologies migrate to positions where they can exercise their evil pathological desires. Prison guards, Cops, Priests, Minsters, Rabbis, Scout Leaders, Politicians, Movie Producers, leaders of all sorts, they want the positions as much for the power to satisfy their lusts as for any other reason.

We have the tools to better screen applicants for these positions but if we did, the positions would be hard to fill. Without the perks of abuse of power these jobs are much less attractive.
