What kind of percentages are you talking about. How many of these rising men are unqualified or incompetent. I will grant that the most competent and qualified are not always promoted but rarely does the pool of candidates for promotion include the incompetent or unqualified. I need help with what you think makes these men unqualified or incompetent. I am guessing you are suggesting that they have unacceptably low EQ.
I think my previous employer had a bias in favor of promoting women. When I was a Sr. Manager, my Director was a man but the Site Vice President was a woman, her boss, the division Vice President, was a woman and the CEO was a woman.
