When COVID hit I started cutting my own hair. I don't think anyone noticed the difference. I still cut my own hair. I guess being a balding older man, even a bad hair cut does not make it worse. My wife mostly cuts her own hair, maybe once a year she get a salon cut but then she always complains. Long ago and far away, my girl friend cut my hair or I got free cuts from other women. When I graduated college and was starting my job search a friend cut my hair that had not been cut for 4 years. I had no problem getting a job. I don't think your statement is accurate, but the sense of your story is not diminished.
