When you say the Vichy do you mean the German allied French Government during the WWII occupation? Yeah, a world war can change the status quo. Even populous protests can in small unstable countries. The status quo is too powerful and too entrenched in the U.S. and global financial markets for small things like protests or January 6th to break its grip.
