It will take years to implement and will gradually offset some of our carbon emissions but it will not on its own “Halt Climate Change” actually nothing we do short of complete cessation of GHG emission could do that and even then there would be a lag before the effects would be felt. A certain amount of climate change is already baked in, it takes time for the GHG in the atmosphere to be removed and until they are the warming will continue.
