Yes, it is. I have symptoms of being poisoned by plastic and forever chemicals. It just seems out of place in that story. Also, it is a lesser disrespect of the planet compared to strip mining, mountain top removal, over grazing, ozone hole, Gulf of Mexico dead zone, Texas brown fields, Canadian tar sands, etc.
