Yes, not much ever happens to them.
They doubt anyone will believe them.
Believing them is not much of a problem for me, I have enough experience to believe them most of the time. Sworn testimony by the victim is rarely enough to convict someone, that is just they way juries are, reasonable doubt and all that. I have not seen anyone with an idea that will fix that.
Well, it’s because the systems do more to protect the aggressors than the victims. Because the aggressors are usually white men, and colleges don’t want bad things to happen to their cash cows.
I will take you word on this, that is sad and they must be mistaken because don’t more women go to college than men.
Should we make being creepy, obnoxious or stupid, a crime? It would probably be easier to prove someone is one of those things than to prove they committed an assault.
they’ll have to describe what happened to them in excruciating detail. Over and over. I’m told investigators do this to confirm the authenticity of the story.
This is not they way it should be, something is wrong, waste a lot of time and retraumatizes the victim. I think they really are trying to get victims to just stay quiet. This is evil.
