I do not like. C.S. Lewis was wrong. Hardships rarely prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny. Ordinary people almost always have an mundane or ordinary destiny.

Almost no one is destined for greatness.

Being ordinary, living an ordinary life should be, needs to be enough.

Greatness is overrated. A great many Great people turn out to be assholes or worse.

The meek shall inherit the Earth. Hopefully the "Great" people will not trash it to badly.
