You are of course right in condemning Putin, condemning Russia. It was an evil act, a criminal act.

The War, since 2014 has killed a lot of people 200,000 to 400,000 maybe. Maybe 100,000 of them civilians. Much has been destroyed and people lives disrupted and irreparably harmed. It is inexcusable. Maybe this time someone will be held accountable.

There was no accountability for the Iraq war that killed twice as many people and left the country in worse shape. Justice and accountability are rare things.

Unless the Russian people capture Putin and his cronies and hand them over the ICC there will be no justice or accountability this time either.

There will be no invasion of Russia, I think you understand why. There will be no NATO troops on the ground in Ukraine, I think you know why. There will be no NATO aircraft in combat in Ukraine.

There will be no near-term resolution of this conflict even if Ukraine retakes all its territory. There would still be an insurgency in the Donbas.
