The personal infusion pump with closed loop feedback (2016), gyro stabilized quadcopter (1998), Segway (2001), self-reacting friction stir welding (2009), quantum computer (2011), crypto currencies (2009). I could go on, but I think you see the point. Inventions take time and most are a bit derivative but these I listed are truly new.
