You can do better than this. Usually, an appendectomy is performed when the appendix is diseased and could possibly rupture and kill the patient. Most abortions are not performed to save the life of the mother. That is a bad and silly analogy.

I think having an abortion latter than the first trimester because being pregnant and carrying the pregnancy to term is inconvenient for the mother is wrong, but I do believe it should not be illegal, a woman should have the right to choose. Not all abortions are equal. Pretty much all appendectomies are equal more or less and really only vary in urgency. All appendectomies are performed for medical reasons. Many abortions are performed for lifestyle reasons.
