You can't cut off the electricity, too many have back up power. The Police, Hospitals, the wealthy, even many middle class have solar and generators. I have spent many days without power from the grid. Usually because of Hurricanes but also once because of a winter storm. If you are not prepared to survive a month without power, food, water etc. shame on you.
