You have a funny roundabout way of getting to the point. If you want working class wages to rise, you either have to force it with regulation or incentivize companies to pay higher wages. Just asking them to reduce profit by paying higher wages won't work. If consumers demanded workers get higher wages and supported that with boycotts or shifting to stores that offer better wages or paid higher prices to support better wages, then wages would rise. Consumers seem to care more about low prices than higher wages.
