You seriously underestimate the rich. The rich will not be bloodied. They will shelter behind mansion walls or take off for paradise resorts and wait out the troubles.

Riots, rebellions and revolution might bring about change in leadership but rarely are the rich forced to pay much of a penalty. I have seen the angry poor burn down their own neighborhoods.
