Just want to share this thought. Just think about it.

While I doubt that the rich intended it this way, keeping more people in poverty and keeping middle class incomes low has the effect of reducing the poor and middle class's contribution to global warming. Just look at China, they raised a lot of people out of poverty and are turning them into consumers. The global demand for meat has increased immensely with the attendant increase in carbon emissions.

If for the 45 years you talked about the median income had increased like you said it should then more people would be living in bigger houses, using more gas and electricity, driving bigger cars with lower gas mileage, jetting around the world and buying more electronics.

We have to cut the pollution caused by the rich without increasing the pollution caused by everyone else.
