Your stories seem quite popular, deservedly so I might add. Sadly, that might mean my comment here gets little attention.

It would seem I belong to no group. My beliefs are my own. I don't need to conform to keep my friends, the few I have accept me, but I rarely highlight our disagreements. I have declined to join groups that occasionally invite me to join. It is a rare group that joining does not get a person labeled. One group I joined said the Pledge of Allegiance at the start of each meeting. I did not object or protest, but I am not a believer in such patriotism. I was in the club for the name's sake activities "Northshore Radio Control Modelers" I did not share the politics or religion of the other members. Just like at work, not discussing politics and religion can work out fine. I have a friend who is very sexist. I make no effort to change that, it would be a waste of effort and probably end the friendship. I don't agree with my brother on political issues. I tried some ideas on him and felt the push back so let it drop. I guess I go along to get along. I believe what I think is right, but I don't tilt at windmills. No point in arguing with people of a closed mind. I admit to a bit of duplicity. Most people have quite a few bad ideas, if you shun everyone who is wrong about something you will be alone. It is kind of shame full, I guess, but I can tell most people what they want to hear, while at the same time thinking they are full of shit.
